All employers in Ontario are required to train workers and supervisors according to the new Occupational Health and Safety Awareness and Training Regulation (O. Reg. 297/13) of the OHSA (Occupational Health and Safety Act), which comes into force on July 1, 2014. These programs are basic health and safety awareness training programs that provide the basis for future training and support safe workplaces for all workers in Ontario. Training is required once, however, workers and employers must provide evidence of successful completion of the training. Online training provides the advantage of access to training records and proof of completion at any time at exceptionally low prices.
This course will educate you on the rights and responsibilities in the workplace for employees, managers, supervisors and employers. By the end of this course you will know duties in the Internal Responsibility System, your rights about workplace hazards and have a clearer understanding of general safety objectives in the workplace.
