Aerial Lift Training in Toronto
In addition to swing stage and working at heights training, Act First Safety provides aerial lift training in Toronto. The purpose of our comprehensive training and certification program is to promote the safe use, inspection, and operation of elevating work platforms, such as:
- Scissor Lifts (Skyjacks and Mobile Elevating Work Platforms)
- Aerial Lifts (Genie, Telescopic, and Zoom Booms)
- Bucket Trucks
We also teach you how to address the hazards of using such platforms. Our aerial lift training program is designed in two parts to provide theoretical and practical training to facilitate compliance for workers using this equipment. It also meets the requirements of:
- The Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Construction and Industrial Regulations
- The Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Standards for Non-Self-Propelled and Self-Propelled Elevating Work Platforms
Aerial lift training participants receive:
- Theoretical Training and Evaluation
- Practical Training and Evaluation
- Wallet Certificate
The theoretical training is combined with machine-specific training, including oral and hands-on instruction on the specific class of elevating work platform. Our qualified instructors will ensure you will demonstrate proficiency in the safe operation of the equipment you will operate.
After completing our aerial lift training program, participants will gain a solid working knowledge of various key topics, including:
- Workplace Inspection
- Pre-Start Inspection
- Safety Rules and Regulations
- Hazard Identification and Control
- Safe Operation (Including Proficiency Demonstration)
Duration
The duration of our aerial lift training program depends on the number of participants and their level of experience. However, we advise you to allot half a day for the training as a minimum. The training will be conducted at your location.
