Working at Heights – changes to the standard

As of April 1, 2015, new requirements will require all workers who work at heights and use any of the following methods of fall protection — travel restraint systems, fall restricting systems, fall arrest systems, safety nets, or work belts or safety belts — complete a Ministry of Labour (Chief Prevention Officer) approved working at heights course.
This summer there will be an awareness campaign run by the Government of Ontario to inform everyone of the new requirements, in particular those who work in the trades and construction.
